Crystal Wu, born in Taiwan, is a New York based independent fashion designer.  Crystal's love of fashion developed at a young age.  She would be mesmerized by the fabulous outfits that her gay uncle would wear to events and the feather headdresses her mother would don on many occasions.   

After several years of creating  “one of a kind” custom outfits for festivals and events with her partner Vivian Wu at Wu creations, Crystal decided to create a ready to wear line.

Kimana was conceived to allow the wearer to channel their inner superhero.  “In order to be at my best I have to feel my best, so I designed outfits that made me feel in my power.  I wanted to share the ability to feel that way with others, so I created Kimana.

 Kimana’s cut and design elements are blended in manners intended to give the wearer a genuine sense of confidence while not compromising on comfort.  For example the Kiamana Jacket’s structured shoulders give that slight superhero uniform feel while the fitted cuffs provide a more casual comfortable sleeve so the jacket remains comfortable all night long.  

The designs are also unashamed in accentuating feminine sensuality while also exuding a sense of power.
